Our cat started to show some very sudden and concerning signs for a potential urine blockage. I called several places before Barfield and struggled to find anyone who could see us. Barfield takes walk ins- but had availability and was able to schedule us a last minute appointment. We unfortunately were not prepared for an emergency vet visit and when I explained that, they did not compromise care. Our buddy was treated well and as gently as I would hope a vet and staff would for a pet who may not be feeling well. Dr. Fetterman was very thorough in his explanation and care and came across as knowledgeable when it comes to cats- we’ve had several vets dismiss feline concerns as just typical behavior or stress, Dr. Fetterman took the time to confirm a diagnosis without this being his first and only assumption. We will most likely be moving permanent care to this office. The staff that did intake took time to listen and document all of our concerns and make sure follow up was scheduled and all questions were answered. The front of house staff were also very polite, patient, and attentive. For us having scheduled the same day just a few hours prior- everything from checking in to checkout was a breeze and kept to schedule.

This is hands down the most caring place you could ever bring your pet. I came in with an emergency, and within 30 seconds they were already taking my dog to the back for treatment. The entire team handled everything with such compassion, urgency, and professionalism. They made me feel completely at ease during a stressful moment, and I truly felt safe trusting them with my dog. What meant the most was how they involved me throughout the process to help keep my dog calm and comfortable. That level of care is rare. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog after this experience.

The most lovely people here that make my animals feel so comfortable and as relaxed as possible during their vet visits. I can tell they truly care about what they do and I have full confidence in the vets and staff. Grey is not only a GREAT vet, but he takes time to chat with you and get to know you and it makes it all the more sweeter. I am so happy to have found a place that treats us so well! 💛
